Common questions.
How are we actually paid?
MMG compensates your hospital directly for every funded, rotation-ready student hosted onsite or virtually, plus a revenue share paid to the host site per rotation block for clinical supervision. Your administration decides whether the payment goes to the hospital or to the supervising preceptors. Contact us for further info.
What is the operational lift on our side?
Minimal. Every student arrives with current TB screening, professional liability coverage, immunizations, HIPAA training, background check, and a hospital issued badge. Supervision stays with your existing medical staff led by licensed physicians and credentialed nurses.
What is our legal exposure?
Students are not employees of the hospital. The relationship is governed by an independent contractor agreement. Your hospital is indemnified, and standard professional liability is carried by the program.
What does the contract look like?
A five year term with three months notice for termination, governed by Illinois law. Joint Commission accredited operations across 40 plus partner hospitals in 9 plus states.
Which specialties can we cover virtually?
Cardiology, pulmonary and critical care, infectious disease, hospital medicine, ICU, and tele stroke through EMMA and Virtualis. Additional service lines available on request.
Can we hire the students we host?
Yes. Conversion to permanent hire is the point. No agency or placement fee, time to fill measured in weeks instead of months, and retention is higher because the fit has already been proven.
