Up-to-date guidance on J1 sponsorship, alternate pathways, and documentation — informed by our ongoing J1 policy briefings.
Common questions.
Do I need to be ECFMG certified?
No. Many candidates begin USCE while completing Step and certification milestones. We help plan the timeline.
Are rotations observership or hands on?
Hands on, under direct supervision of US physicians at partner hospitals. Observerships are available but not the default.
Can you support visa documentation?
Yes. We provide letters, scheduling documentation, and coordination for B1, J1, and other applicable categories. MMG actively tracks J1 policy changes and hosts briefings for affected applicants.
What specialties are available?
Internal medicine, family medicine, psychiatry, surgery, pediatrics, OB GYN, ER, and subspecialty electives through tele specialty.
Can I combine research with my rotation?
Yes. The Residency Accelerator is built for that — see the Programs page for the Research + Rotation track.
